Hellfire Challenge

For those of you who don't know, Nick is a spicy food connoisseur of sorts. When we first got married I bought regular hot sauce, but that just wasn't hot enough. The next hot sauce I bought for him was the habanero kind and that didn't cut it either. The one he likes best is the Dave's Insanity Ghost Pepper Sauce. It's not even the regular Dave's Insanity sauce (he tried that one at a sub place and said it wasn't hot enough). This bottle has lasted him a few months so far because he doesn't have to put as much on food to get the heat that he wants.

Knowing that he can handle the spiciest of spicy food, we looked to see of any spicy food contests in Utah and found a couple but hadn't gotten around to trying any yet... Now that it's almost December we finally decided to go this evening to Kobe Sushi and let Nick try the Hellfire Challenge! My step-dad Chad and my mom came too and Chad tried the challenge as well though he didn't quite make it to the end. That last roll got him.

This challenge was featured on the show Man vs. Food, so here's a clip from that show that can introduce the challenge a little better than I can:

Since then, the challenge has changed a bit - You eat one level 4, one level 5, one level 6 roll, and that is considered the qualifier. Then you eat a 6.5 to see if you can handle the extra heat. Then you sign a waiver (no joke!) saying you will not hold them liable for any health problems that may occur from eating the level 7 rolls. Then you eat 3 rounds of two level 7 rolls (so 6 level 7 rolls total). They do it in rounds of 2 because they have so many people drop out after eating just one so then they don't have to waste any food if people quit (out of 3500+ people who have attempted the challenge, only 190 have finished so far - Nick was 190). They also provide puke buckets between the rounds because puking is inevitable mostly because the taste isn't that appetizing and some people's stomach's can't handle the super heat.

Anyway, here is a picture of the level 7 rolls. Nick and Chad both said the worst part was the flavor and that it was a huge glob of the nasty flavor on top of the roll. The spiciness/heat didn't bother them at all, but the flavor was gross. My mom and I both thought they smelled gross too so I really believe them when they say it was the taste that actually made them puke.

And here is Nick with Chef Alex just a few minutes after he finished the last two level 7's, puked up almost everything he had just eaten, and got his t-shirt which, when he wears it there, will give him a 10% discount for life off of bills at Kobe Sushi.

Belly Progress - Week 22

Hello baby bump! I am finally at a point where people do not hesitate to mention the fact that I am pregnant because they can tell it's not just chub. Yay! Also on another note. Harvey is pretty good about sleeping at night with me and not keeping me up. He only woke me up once this past week with a super hard kick at about 3am. He kicked a few more times and then went back to his own resting. Anyway, here are the pictures of the belly growing progress.

Harvey Forest Potts!

It's a boy!

There's our little guy in 3D. Isn't his nose just the cutest thing ever? He sucked on his thumb quite a bit, but he'd only suck on it for like 5 seconds, get bored with it, and then went back to this position you see above. Every time the tech tried to get a good thumb sucking picture it turned out super blurry because he moved so quickly! Anyways, here are some more pictures to enjoy in the meantime since this will likely be our one and only ultrasound for this pregnancy!

It was such an awesome experience and I couldn't stop smiling. Our tech was really nice and was very dedicated to get the best shot of every shot that she could get. We ultimately got to watch the little guy on ultrasound for about 45 minutes so it was a pretty long ultrasound and we loved every minute of it! She would've let us stay longer if we wanted to.

Oh and the 3D was an extra bonus because our tech was just that nice. She felt bad because she originally couldn't get a very good profile picture so she went and checked to see if anyone else was scheduled then came back and she wanted to do 3D for the rest of it just for fun to see if we could get a better picture of our little one. She ended up getting the 2D profile pics at the same time too. It was a fun little bonus of extra viewing time.

Tomorrow is the mid-pregnancy ultrasound! We (so long as little one cooperates) will find out boy or girl for sure instead of just on the fun little urine gender test thing.

I've been feeling him/her move around a LOT the past week and a half. I had felt little movements here and there before but now it's throughout the day and every day. Today s/he is liking my vacation just as much as I am. (I have today and tomorrow off this week since it's UEA here so no school for the kiddos). I have just been relaxing all day so far. I finally got to catch up on the lack of sleep that has been plaguing me for a few weeks now. I have been a walking zombie and was so ready to have a few days to sleep in as long as I could.

In the hypno-birthing book I am reading there was a page that was so fascinating to me and I've been dying to try this out since I read about it. It talked about how you and your significant other might be feeling anxious, nervous, hopeful, and all those things you feel right before you have a baby, but then it talked about switching those perspectives to your baby's perspectives. It talked about how before your baby is born it has a somewhat limited knowledge of what to expect since it can still hear and perceive things from inside the womb and by the time s/he is ready to come out it's probably just as scared, nervous, anxious, or excited depending on what it has heard & felt (ex - it posed some different scenarios - a baby entering a household where it heard a lot of yelling versus a baby entering a house where it's parent(s) would talk to it before it was born or listen to calming music). It said to try and do some things before the baby is born to make it feel "welcomed" such as talking to him/her, rubbing your belly to let it know you are there, listening to calming music, singing to him/her, etc etc. By doing this it actually helps you bond with your baby faster after s/he is born because you are making yourself aware that there is actually a little person there that is not just a blob on an ultrasound screen and the baby also already feels some sort of connection to the outside world. I think I found this part of the book so interesting because I had never really thought of it like that before.

Ever since that part of the book really stuck out to me, I've been looking forward to starting to do something like that once the baby started to move around and today I finally got a chance. As I've been sitting here relaxing, s/he was moving around quite a bit so I took the opportunity to try this out. I rubbed my stomach back letting it know someone's out here too and once I stopped s/he just moved around in response to the little nudges and we wen back and forth for 5 or 10 minutes. It was pretty fun and made me even more excited to see the little one tomorrow.

Nick still has yet to feel the movements from the outside. He tries, but he keeps thinking he's just feeling my pulse and the movements aren't strong enough on the outside yet I guess for him to be able to tell the difference between a pulse and a kick or roll. For me it's easy because I not only can feel it on the outside I can feel it on the inside too so I know it wasn't just my pulse. haha. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks though he'll start being able to feel the little one moving around too.

101 Dalmatians

Nick and I were reminiscing about our childhood just last night and realized it's been such a long time since we've seen one of our favorites - 101 Dalmatians. We both were a 101 dalmatian at one point for Halloween when we were little too which we have almost identical pictures from around the same age. Well anyways, amidst our reminiscing we recalled the Kanine Krunchies Jingle - heard below on the youtube video.

We think my niece Maggie sounds exactly like the singers on the jingle. We can't get over how closely she sounds like them!

Time is flying by!

This past month went by so quickly! My monthly appointment is right around the corner again TOMORROW! I am so excited because at this appointment we'll be able to get the "prescription" for our ultrasound and are going to schedule it for next Friday! A few weeks ago I called the hospital we want to get it at so we can do it through out insurance just to make sure their scheduling was pretty easy to get into, otherwise I would have called our midwife and asked them if they could write up that prescription thing sooner so we could schedule it. For some reason I'm pretty confident we'll be able to get in when we want to. Hoping for next Friday at 6:30pm (they close at 7) so my mom can try to make it down in time. I also have next Thursday and Friday off of work so that's the main reason I want to do it one of those days.

It is so exciting how quickly the time has gone by so far. We're almost halfway through this pregnancy now. Only about 5 months left as of today. I am now getting people at the school asking me all the time when I'm due and about baby stuff. I don't look ginormous yet, but you can definitely tell something is growing in there besides fat stores. I must say that I actually LOVE that people can now tell enough to ask me about it.

Oh, and our choosing of the first name has finally been completed for our boy or girl. I wanted a name picked out for a boy or a girl before we find out what it is so once we find out we can start calling it by the name. The middle name is still being debated but we have our options. If it's a boy he's going to be Harvey, and if it's a girl she's going to be Daphne. We thought about whether or not to announce our names and decided we're both so opinionated and it took us long enough to decide that no matter what anyone says we won't be swayed anyway. We've gotten good and bad comments on both the names but we still are in love with them.

Diaper Researching

Work has been pretty crazy lately between loading all the computers and loading some more, putting in work requests, answering crazy e-mails, pushing giant carts around (which is killing my back by the way), and all sorts of things that come up in my job. The good thing though is that I had the day off today so I got a nice, much needed, little break and this work week will be only 4 days now too. Today, I just relaxed at home on my day off and I also got to do some more researching on the newer cloth diaper systems.

I don't know how many people who read my blog know, but we've done our research (well mostly me, but I presented it all to Nick too and he is on board 110%) on diapers and have been planning on using cloth ones since before I got pregnant. I had a friend who used gDiapers with the cloth inserts and loved them and so I looked into it and got hooked on the idea. Come to find out another one of my friends who had a baby this past summer also chose to go with cloth diapers, but a different system and she had the same sort of experience I had while researching the idea. I've sort of been catapulted to the point that I have no good reason to use disposables as our main diaper and every reason to use cloth.

I figure I will be at home anyway with our kids so cloth will not be a problem as far as the upkeep of an extra load of laundry every other day or every two days. It is a great money saver, and on top of that it's environmentally friendly (which I'm not one to be super duper concerned about, but that's sort of a bonus on top of all the other benefits). And for those of you who may not be familiar with disposable diapers, don't let the idea fool you, I've used them long enough through my year at the daycare in the baby room that disposables do not equal never touching poo. No matter what diapers are used, moms (and probably dads) will come in contact with poo at some point.

Now for those of you thinking this sounds totally weird or you're thinking I'm going to change my mind, it's important to keep in mind that cloth diapers have come a long long LONG way, even in the past 5 to 10 years. There are all sorts of options and I have done a lot of researching on all of the different types and brands of cloth diapers. I've been looking at product designs, styles, prices, written reviews and customer reviews and demonstrations on youtube. What you need to know for the rest of this post is that the basic type of modern cloth diapers are All-In-One's, often shortened to AIO's, which are a design that you do not insert any cloth because it's all sewed up inside the diaper, and then there are Pocket Diapers which have an open pocket for you to stuff inserts in yourself and then pull them out (the advantage to these ones is that they dry faster than AIO's since they are taken apart), and then those are either sized in XS, S, M, L, or they can be a one size fits all that uses adjustable snaps & elastic pieces to size it and usually those fit babies/toddlers from 7 to 35lbs. This chart here has pretty good information on the different types if you want to know more about them.

At first, I was leaning towards the gDiaper system because that was the first modern cloth diaper system I looked at and it looked like it fit exactly what I wanted. This system is a little different than most because it's not an All-in-One or a Pocket Diaper technically. It would probably be categorized as a pocket because you have to put inserts in yourself, but not in a pocket. These have an outer shell, and an elastic liner that snaps inside that. You put either a flushable insert or a cloth insert in the elastic liner. I was interested in these because there is less laundry involved (ideally). You could use just two shells and liners during the day and only change out the inserts. You'd only have to wash those instead of the entire shell/pocket part like you do in other cloth diapers. However, I've been looking around for a few months and these ones just seem to have a mixed bag of reviews that have made me uneasy about getting them. It seems like these ones are harder for people to get used to fitting correctly on their babies to keep out leaks. Commenters seem to either really love or really hate the product. Basically, the system looks great and I'm sure I'd be able to get the hang of it, but when you get down to it it seems like the least liked out of all the ones I looked at and I don't want to take a 50/50 chance on a $500 of loving or hating it. I also wanted to keep in mind though that realistically we won't be the only ones that have to get used to the system. If we ever have family or friends watch our kids, we'll want them to be able to use whatever system we choose just as easily. So, I started looking at some of the other options available and looking at ones that have better reviews.

After today, I am pretty certain we'll end up going with the FuzziBunz diapers - specifically I am going to go with the one size fits all. Oh, and FuzziBunz is a pocket diaper. This brand seem very user friendly, the reviews seem to be unanimous that they are an awesome diaper. I really like the adjustable elastic option this one has for the one size fits all diaper. It even comes with replacement elastic that is easily replaced without any sewing. That was a huge selling point for me because we want to be able to use these for several of our kids so knowing replacing the elastic is as simple as sliding it out and putting a new one in is great news. We could make our roughly $600 purchase of diapers last for 4+ kids, whereas typical costs for diapers runs about $1200 for 2 years of disposables.

Overall, I'm super excited to start using these in, believe it or not, 5-1/2 months! I know cloth diapers used to be the plain white pre-folds that needed pins and often leaked, but these new ones are all so really well designed and just as easy or easier to use as disposables (no stinky trash to take out is a nice thought). The only difference is I'll do an extra load of laundry every other day and stuff diapers once they're dry (but like I said, I'll be at home anyway so I can do that while the baby is sitting next to me). It'll save us a ton of money on diapers over the years and if you think about it, diaper cream too will be pretty much unnecessary so we won't be spending money on that either or replacing onesies that get explosion stains on them (explosions and leaks in most cloth diapers are fairly uncommon).

We'll probably use some disposables for the first week or so to ease into the cloth diapering habit since we'll have to learn how to use them (and they might not fit at first either), and then we'll likely end up using disposables on our trip to England next year too, but other than that, we're planning on just using the cloth ones. I can't wait to get far enough along in this pregnancy to where we'll be able to order the diapers! It is one of the highlights I'm looking forward to.

Results are in and...

Looks like we'll keeping with my family's tradition of having a girl first. Now, since these are not completely and 100% accurate we will still be doing the ultrasound next month too (which we need to schedule soon...) This week is also our second midwife appointment and we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat so yay!

Now comes the brainstorming for girl names the next six months, assuming the ultrasound confirms the other gender test. We have a few ideas for girl names, but nothing is really jumping out saying "this is the name" just yet, so we'll see how long it takes us to decide!

4 Weeks

12 Weeks

It's starting to get a little bigger, not much, but definitely a difference. This past weekend was when I realized I can no longer zip up most of my pants. I had been doing the hair tie thing for about 2 weeks already, but could still zip up my pants most of the way until Saturday. I guess I had the "pelvic pop" as they call it, and I can really tell a difference even though to most people it's probably not too noticeable yet. It won't be long though before my belly starts to pop out and people can start to tell.

We also found out this week that we can get a gender ultrasound the beginning of next month, so we are excited! We're also going to try out this urine gender test. It's called gendermaker and if it turns out to be wrong you get your money back so we figure it'd be good to have that in addition to our one ultrasound. We're only getting one since we're at a midwife center instead of a hospital and they don't regularly do ultrasounds.

Believe it or not, in a little more than six months we're going to have some baby pictures up on here!

Coming up on 2nd trimester

I started back at Provost this week and wow! I soon remembered what it was like to be BUSY and not just have a full schedule. By the time I get home from work at only 3:30 I pass out for at least an hour before I can do anything else. The good part about this is that I was so busy that I didn't really have time to be nauseous. I'm 11, almost 12 weeks, now and so maybe being less nauseous has to be with soon entering the 2nd trimester! 12 weeks = 3 months! Crazy! 1/3 of the way done growing this little bean already.

Our baby room is starting to take a more noticeable change from storage room to baby room. My fabulous husband took a load of boxes and stuff over to his dad's business to store there so we can start putting things together in the room. My mom and step dad will be coming down later on today with the last piece of our crib and the whole changing table so it will REALLY start to look like a baby room soon and we still have 6 months to go. If any of you remember my little 6 month stint in middle school of collecting palm tree things, you may not know that I still have some of that stuff in my old room at my mom's. The plan for the baby room is going to be a tropical/jungle type theme whether it's a boy or a girl because I already have some cool decorations from that collection that will fit right in. Plus I found this really cute baby book about a month before we were even pregnant for about 2 bucks with this cute little palm tree on the outside. I'm going to paint a picture or two for the room too once I can find my paints somewhere in my mom's basement.

Our M friends

This summer we've been having (almost) weekly game nights with our friends Matt and Mary and their little one year old Michael (sometimes other people come too). It has been a lot of fun and I have enjoyed getting to know them. Matt and Nick met while serving in the small towns surrounding Park City, mostly Kamas and Oakley, during their mission.

Today, one of their other mission friends, Matt, is getting married (to Michele... Nick and I feel out of some secret M name loop when all 6 of us are together.) Note: Nick's friends are almost exclusively named either Matt or Chris. When he starts talking about "Matt" or "Chris" I have to ask him to clarify which one because he sometimes forgets he knows so many of each. Anyway, so last evening Matt, Matt, and Nick went out to pizza and a movie, and Mary and I hung out at the house with little Michael. I made some cupcakes and Mary and I took our time decorating them to the best of our limited cupcake decorating abilities and laughing at our child like creativity. It's not easy coming up with something to turn cupcakes into without some sort of idea beforehand. Little Michael had fun too. He is always laughing and smiling when they come over and it makes us more excited about becoming parents ourselves soon. Matt and Mary don't really have many toys for Michael, so he is always easily entertained when they come over by a whisk, a remote control, his reflection in the oven, or looking out the window. After that Matt and Nick came back and we all hung out for a bit longer. This morning Nick and I found some really great deals on KSL for baby items so our collection is slowly, but surely, building!

I'm almost 10 weeks along now and it has graduated from a little embryo to a fetus! It's so exciting and now our thoughts have been shifting more and more to getting ready for this baby. We are only a few days shy of being 1/4 of the way done with the pregnancy. All of the baby's organs are already formed and now he or she basically just needs to grow before we get to meet it!

Month of firsts

So many firsts going on this month!

We might possibly have to file our first legal complaint this month. Our old landlord from the duplex still has not sent us our deposit back! He's been saying since the middle of June that it's on it's way and we've been looking daily for it. He is saying we must have just thrown it away... (so frustrating) He also has said he'll cancel the old check he supposedly sent off and mail us a new one for about a month now. At the end of July we gave him a deadline of August 1st or else we'll start some legal action going. He said okay but we still haven't seen a thing in the mail or heard from him since.

On a happier note, our first actual appointment with the midwife is this upcoming Monday and we'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat! I don't think they do ultrasounds at their office early on unless you pay extra for them so I'm pretty sure we'll have to wait a few months to actually see the baby, but we're still excited for the first appointment. Nick's mom and little sister might come along to the appointment and come hear the heartbeat with us but I have to check and see if that's okay. By the end of the month though I'll be done with the first trimester too which means 1/3 of the way done with the whole pregnancy and we'll start announcing it to the rest of the world! Time is sure flying by quickly this summer so that has been nice. It's been great to be off of work while I've been feeling really exhausted and sick. It really was perfect timing to get pregnant when I did.

Our first anniversary is this month too! We are debating on if we should go camping, go on a little trip somewhere, or just go out to dinner and plan a fun date to celebrate. Can you believe we've been married almost a year folks?!

Seven

We're up to week seven folks. We're over halfway through the first trimester! So far I've only thrown up once and it was in the morning with mostly water so I am feeling pretty lucky that I've been able to keep my food down despite having nausea around the clock off and on but mostly on. My key so far has been to eat little things throughout the day instead of meals. If I wait to be hungry to eat I feel sick and start dry heaving. This weekend I started to feel sick before then too so maybe I am speaking too soon with the "only thrown up once" bit.

It has proven difficult for family events involving eating lunch or dinner. I find myself either absolutely ravenous or absolutely sick if I don't eat something before I go to these events or in the car just before we go inside. It is also difficult considering my current picky food attitude about what sounds "good" (as in won't make me puke) and what doesn't. Crackers helped for a while but now they're kind of getting to be a little old so hopefully this week I can keep this miracle up of keeping all my food where it belongs!

Bear Lake

Well, we had a great weekend last weekend but it pooped me out! First we drove up to Bear Lake Friday afternoon/early evening and spent the weekend up there with my mom and step dad, my sister and her family, and my two stepsisters.

Saturday morning we got ready to go to the "beach".

We played in the sand a little bit and got some nice sun.

Maggie and Amanda were very concerned with getting NO sand on any of the towels, blankets, or any of it sticking on their own feet, swimsuit or clothing.

We buried Anna and Megan in the sand and made "their lifelong dreams of becoming a mermaid" true. (those are their words... hehe)

Later on I got to go out on the boat and watch the exciting rides on Big Mabel (the orange floating device seen in the background here).

Finally it was Maggie's turn to ride with Amanda and Grandpa Chad.

Then Nick took a ride with Anna and you can see him here holding her tight and screaming.... like a little girl. :) The girls thought this was the funniest thing ever.

After this fun ride we went back to the beach to let the girls, Chad and Jonathan eat lunch. Then my stepdad, mom, sister and two nieces joined Nick and I back on the boat for the ride back to the Marina so we could pull the boat out of the water and go back to the cabin for the night! Let me tell you this was quite the boat ride! Probably the most intense boat ride on a lake I will ever be on! The waves were at least 4 or 5 feet and we were being thrown up and down and all over the place and we all ended up putting on life jackets "just in case" because it seriously felt like we could be flipped right over at any time. Here is a picture of some of the waves from that second ride.

Water was splashing on all of us like a ride at an amusement park. My mom was screaming and then laughing all at the same time and the rest of us were just nervously laughing at her trying to stay calm so the kids wouldn't freak out but we were all having fun and it is one part of this vacation none of us will ever forget.

It took us about 2 hours to make the trip in the boat that should've taken maybe 30 minutes, but we made it without flipping over and as soon as we got to shore, four of us ladies hopped out and ran to the bathroom because we couldn't hold it in any longer.

And last but not least, here is Nick squeezing Maggie and pretending like he can't let her go just before we all headed to get some raspberry shakes after dinner.

I wish I could put all of the pictures we took from that weekend on here. I had fun using my brand new camera to take all sorts of pictures of my beautiful nieces that I don't get to see too often. This was a great trip and we had so much fun spending time with everyone!

Why was this show cancelled?

I don't know if it was ratings or something, but I'm sure everyone's heard of it and seen clips and loved it. I vote they bring this show back and have Brian Regan host it now! He often uses his funny experience as a father in his routines anyway that I could totally see him doing a great job with it. Another person I'd watch be the host of this show is Bob Barker. I would probably watch every episode for either of those hosting. Maybe we can petition a station to start it up? CBS used to air it before, but ABC is always doing new shows so maybe they would start it up again under a different name.

Anyway, I was thinking about this show earlier and then watched a few of the clips on youtube, this one was my favorite.

P.S. To those who are following my pregnancy stuff - I'm 5 weeks today and the baby is about the size of an appleseed :)

Round Ligament Pain

For those of you who don't know, round ligament pain is associated with the beginning weeks of pregnancy. It is when the muscles/ligaments by your hips start stretching out for the future months ahead of holding up that baby belly. Let me just say this part of being pregnant so far has not been the funnest (neither has the cramps off and on (which scare me) from the uterus stretching out), but I still am grateful every day and keep reading more and more about pregnancy and the next 8 months that are left of it. It has been great so far, despite being ready for bed by 9 every day no matter how much sleep I got the night before.

Proof

I think most of you who read this blog already know our big 4th of July weekend news anyway, so since it's just the 3 or 4 of you who already know and will be reading this, here's the proof! :)

I took this one first at about 5am Saturday morning (I seriously couldn't hold it in any longer).

And, in disbelief, I took out the digital one and tested with that to make sure and...

Our due date is March 13, 2012, which also happens to be his dad's birthday. We're keeping this news off of Facebook and from spreading around for now but just announcing it to our close friends and family (which qualifies all of you lovely folks reading this right now. I am pretty sure those who are not in this category of close friends/family don't read this anyway). To those of you who may be wondering... yes, this was very much planned and we could not be happier to get pregnant so quick (3 months almost exactly)! We are so excited and hope this little boy/girl(s) sticks in there the whole 9 months to come meet us all. We think Grandpa Santa must've gave him/her a little high five on his way up as the little one was on his/her way down.

Some symptoms already are being SO much hungrier than normal. I feel like an animal. We just ate lunch about 30 minutes ago and I think I'm going to eat another lunch right now. I have also been getting waves on nausea already and certain foods make my stomach turn a bit either just looking at or smelling them. No puking yet, but I can tell it'll start here in a week or right on time as expected. Let the games begin! :-)

Ten Months!

It has been 10 months and two days since Nick and I got married! Here are some of our favorite pictures from that day. I'll post some of the pictures from our honeymoon another time this week since I don't think I ever posted those on facebook or the blog.

There are a couple shots of this and you can watch the progression of Emma's dance moves as she skips away from the action. It was totally cute :)

Addy was still learning how to walk. There are several shots of her holding on to someones hands and making her way around.

Nick and I with all of the (notice... ALL girls) cousins and nieces. Can you see Emma trying to hold Eliza? There is a progression of this too in the pictures as Eliza sags lower and lower and her face becomes more and more distressed.

Throughout the pictures, ALL of the little girls asked me at some point to hold the flowers. Lucy was begging me to hold them in the next group photo.

If you guys remember, it was super windy that day. This is cousin Chloe holding Sophie trying not to blow away.

Here are the cousins at the kiddie table. Everyone was hoping Maggie (Nick's cousin) was not going to do a repeat of the last family wedding. She just kept eating and eating since there was a never ending supply of food and of course eventually got sick. Thankfully that didn't happen again!

Yet another progression pics. Lucy was probably sad because swimming wasn't starting yet. All the girls kept coming behind us at the fence asking us when we were going to leave already so they could get in the pool.

I can't tell if Grandpa Chad made things better or worse in this pic. haha.

Poor Maggie was so out of it with the accident that happened the night before.

Sera really really really wanted a picture with me at the end so we took a few! She is going to be a model someday or maybe a photographer. I think she is in love with the camera.

Sisters!

Our photographer had to leave before we did (we were running late because people kept coming and she had to get back to her kids to let the baby sitter go or something), but we changed into our other clothes, made it to our car after being pelted with rice (which we found in our hair and car for about a week), and then had to go wash the car off. Our car was covered with mustard, chocolate syrup, ketchup, Oreos and toilet paper. It looked and smelled disgusting. Nick's only khaki pants got ruined because we had to go to one of the do it yourself car washes and the spray splashed all of the stuff back onto his pants. I think he had to get kinda close to the car to get the scrubber to reach the top of it too. The dress I was wearing got mustard splats all over it that still won't come out too but you can't tell it's there unless I show you so it didn't get ruined completely. We spent about 40 minutes cleaning it off before we finally headed to Park City. It was a great day and I loved going through all these pictures to remember it :)
