Ten Months!

It has been 10 months and two days since Nick and I got married! Here are some of our favorite pictures from that day. I'll post some of the pictures from our honeymoon another time this week since I don't think I ever posted those on facebook or the blog.

There are a couple shots of this and you can watch the progression of Emma's dance moves as she skips away from the action. It was totally cute :)

Here are the cousins at the kiddie table. Everyone was hoping Maggie (Nick's cousin) was not going to do a repeat of the last family wedding. She just kept eating and eating since there was a never ending supply of food and of course eventually got sick. Thankfully that didn't happen again!

Yet another progression pics. Lucy was probably sad because swimming wasn't starting yet. All the girls kept coming behind us at the fence asking us when we were going to leave already so they could get in the pool.

Sera really really really wanted a picture with me at the end so we took a few! She is going to be a model someday or maybe a photographer. I think she is in love with the camera.

Sisters!

Our photographer had to leave before we did (we were running late because people kept coming and she had to get back to her kids to let the baby sitter go or something), but we changed into our other clothes, made it to our car after being pelted with rice (which we found in our hair and car for about a week), and then had to go wash the car off. Our car was covered with mustard, chocolate syrup, ketchup, Oreos and toilet paper. It looked and smelled disgusting. Nick's only khaki pants got ruined because we had to go to one of the do it yourself car washes and the spray splashed all of the stuff back onto his pants. I think he had to get kinda close to the car to get the scrubber to reach the top of it too. The dress I was wearing got mustard splats all over it that still won't come out too but you can't tell it's there unless I show you so it didn't get ruined completely. We spent about 40 minutes cleaning it off before we finally headed to Park City. It was a great day and I loved going through all these pictures to remember it :)

Holy cow and a half. I have not made a post about a tv show before, but the few days after watching last week's episode Nick and I were looking up all kinds of dirt on this guy. I am looking forward to watching last night's episode tonight. We watch it off of abc.com since we don't have cable.

If you guys haven't watched the Bachelorette yet, catch up on abc.com this week so then next week you can be back on track. It is quite the season of firsts, crazies, and you will find yourself uncontrollably saying things out loud like "what the $#)*#???? NO!! Grrrr!" and you will NOT believe what people will do in their 15 minutes of fame... even if it's supposed to be while "finding love". Sometimes I think people get on these reality shows and their brains fly away and they think "hmm. I don't think anyone will notice how dumb/mean/socially stupid I make myself look on this show - it doesn't matter because I'm not famous" not taking into account that a good portion of citizens that walk among them actually watch, know of, or are familiar with the dang show they are on and will eventually find out what they did on it. Then it comes back to bite them when they realize that the stupid or mean comment they made can actually be magically edited in to come after a certain situation to make them look even MORE stupid/mean/desperate/etc than it made them look in the first place... Granted, some of why we see this guy Bentley as a villain is because of editing, but honestly, the things he said, whether in context or not are plain and clear regardless of where they were edited to fit in.

We keep thinking that it would be kind of fun.

New place

So, that last post was by Nick, just to clarify, but it is true so I'm going to leave it up there :-)

I am really enjoying our new place! If you haven't heard me say it already, here's the best part: a dishwasher! It has been beyond nice to have a dishwasher. I love not having these thoughts while cooking anymore: "I'm going to have to wash these dishes eventually.... I'll do it tomorrow... maybe..." I am just not good at keeping up with the hand washing of dishes. When I lived in Manzanita at SUU I didn't have a dishwasher and did just fine so I thought it would be fine as a married couple. What I didn't think of was that while I was at SUU, I only cooked one portion so the largest pot I used held one serving of noodles and the largest pan was a grilled cheese pan. The only time I used anything more than that was for our roommate dinners, which I was only in charge of about once a month. I am just glad we've got a dishwasher and washer and dryer now. Life is great.

I've also been getting a few things to make it feel more like home and look nicer. I've also finally been able to hang up some of our other art/other pieces that I never got to hang up in our other place. We have a lot more wall space here so I have more hanging room. Another thing I enjoy is that the walls are not all stark white. I just feel like I'm stuck in an elementary or middle school all day when the walls are all plain white. My roommates from college can attest to that. Both times at SUU I had to spruce up my walls but couldn't hang anything with nails and such. I ended up getting some printed wrapping paper and taping it up squares and rectangles of it around my room. It worked beautifully to add some life to an otherwise very boring dungeon of a room.

Anyways, we really enjoyed our trip down to Arizona this past weekend and miss all of our family already. We can't wait to see everyone again in a few months!
