Starting 'em Young

This week, the CUTEST dang thing I've ever witnessed happened.
Preface: We had 5 girls and 3 boys that particular day. One boy was just sitting and watching. One of the other boys is shorter & smaller because he's younger (he is the one who used to call me "mom" all the time, and the other one is going to be a football player someday, he has the body of a 3 and a half year old and is not even 2 yet, he's also a bully and trouble maker (example: he stacked toyboxes once while my coworker was changing a diaper one morning and pulled the fire alarm).
We pair up the kids into hypothetical boyfriend/girlfriend couples because... we can! And it is so cute. haha. So we're always asking the one little boy in particular "where's your girlfriend, go give her a hug!" He will find her and hug her and they smile and giggle. It is the cutest thing ever. And her dad now always makes sure she says bye to him when she leaves cus we told him that he was her boyfriend. So cute. haha.

After snack, my coworker and I were cleaning up and the kids were all playing. The one little boy's "girlfriend" had tripped and she kinda fussed for a couple minutes. So the little boy runs over to her and gives her the biggest little kid kiss ever, and on her lips too. She absolutely loved it and afterwards started clapping and giggling and was waiting for another one. So seeing this reaction, he decides to try it again and she just was smiling. He then wanted to see what the other girls in our room would do apparently. He went from girl to girl trying to kiss them. (I know you are thinking "gross!" and we were cleaning and saying "we probably shouldn't let him kiss the girls, huh" but it was so dang cute! We wish we could've taken a video.) Anyway by that second girl, the other little boy (the football player one) saw what he was doing and decided to get in on this, but only on the forehead. He is a bully already so all of the little girls are afraid of him and most tried to push him away. The smaller one saw HIM doing that and tried to kiss the forehead of one of the girls, but couldn't reach that high seeing as she was so much taller than him. They stopped after being distracted with story time a few girls later when we were like "okay we better stop them..." haha. But it was the cutest 2 minutes ever! haha. I love how kids can make you smile.
