Madness

Sometimes I feel like I am going crazy! Today is one of those days. It seems like whenever you feel comfortable, something else happens to throw you off balance and test your capability to withstand anything.

I figured I'd update everyone on the stuff thats been going on this month. A lot has happened. Most importantly, I'm a year older! Wahoooo! haha. TWENTY! I have a post that I'll get to eventually that I've been working on for a while of all the things I've learned in 20 years of living. haha.. Perhaps this weekend I'll get to it...? haha we'll see.

Second item. For those of you who don't already know. Thomas and I are not going to be engaged anymore for the remainder of his mission. "Why?" you ask. Haha. Well, we talked about a lot of different things and different reasons and we both feel like it is the best decision for us to make right now. It's a little hard to explain it all because there are a lot of factors. For now, I am still waiting for him and when he gets home we will be in a better position to figure it all out and continue what we had before.

Third item. Some people in his mission were misusing the allowance from the Mission President to write people other than family emails on Pdays. He was allowing them to write friends (aka. people such as myself. MGs), but some of them wrote a TON of people all the time that were unneccesary or were misusing that privilege. So the MP had to change the rules, sooo, thomas is no longer allowed to write me emails from now on. So, back to regular old unreliable snail mail that is a hit or miss kind of a deal. I am not sure how that will all go. According to the letters that we've randomly sent each other since he's been in Nicaragua, it'll probably be about a month and a half to two months before I get to hear from him, outside the family email. So that is going to be tough. But today is his 13 month mark! 11 months left! We'll see how it all goes.

Fourth item. Class! Its getting tougher. This week we had monday off for Martin Luther King Day. That was a nice break. And we also have Saturday off because of a mistake the last teacher made on the syllabus and our teacher is a very nice person.

Well, A lot of stuff has been going on as you can see... I'll update some more later. I don't know when, but I'll get to it when I have a chance!

Stress is my new middle name...

Well, another crazy week... It's only tuesday and I feel like I need a weekend right now! Please, anyone have any spare weekends to throw my way??

Last week was a good week, and a bad week at the same time. I got to go on two "non-dates" (just going and doing stuff with friends, but with guys), but both were with the same guy (one of my neighbors) and we had a lot of fun and are going to do more stuff sooner or later. Although I had lots of fun, it also was kind of stressful because I am not sure what anything means in this area of my life anymore (dating that is). haha. It confuses myself to even think about it so don't even bother to ask me about what it means because I don't even know anymore...

On Saturday I basically broke one of my toes. I hit in on a doorway and it is brusing nicely day by day. Currently, it is causing me weird pains... weird because it's not exactly PAIN-pain, but it just feels extremely weird. Like it's burning and falling asleep. And it goes from that to being numb on and off throughout the day. And then kids jump all over me so that doesn't help healing I'm sure.. I just keep taking Ibuprofen and that seems to be working for now. I don't really have time to see if there is anything else with that.

Monday my class started. I was informed that this class is almost like the first year of lawschool crammed into an 8 week course... I'm bracing myself for lots of work and little free time, little sleep... and basically living in a cave for the next few months. I'm not looking forward to it to say the least. I'm putting it off as long as I can. My first task is to read a chapter in one of my books, complete a 15 page section in a workbook, and memorize one of the book's entire glossary (about 20 pages with 10words a page)... part of that is for thursday and the other part is for saturday.... Then we have a paper due next week as well on something I don't even know about yet. It's not my idea of fun, but I will have to think of it as fun for the next 8 weeks because that is all I will be doing for fun. haha.

I was also informed monday that one of the women I work with is finally taking her maternity leave starting next week, so I will begin working from 8am-5pm (mind you, my classes monday and thursday are from 6pm-9:30pm...). Like I said, goodbye to my life!! Haha. So if I don't update this thing for weeks, you will know what I am doing... working, either at my job, or at my class, or at home on my class....
Weekends will not consist of sleeping in either becasuse my class goes from 10am-4pm(ish) on Saturdays and we just switched to the 9am church schedule, and then the assignments from Saturday's are going to be due monday... so all of this = NO LIFE!

If I don't answer my phone for you in the next while, I'm sorry, but perhaps I will turn my phone off completely now and then to actually sleep for an hour here and there or keep me from taking a detour on my work... I do love you all, but I will be more available to love you all in about 8 weeks. haha. Well, I thought I better update you all on what is going on while I have time and am putting off what I really need to be doing for the last time possible!

2THOUSAND and NINE!

I can't believe its 2009 already!! 2008 flew by!
The past two weeks have been pretty nice. I got to have a lot of time off work for the holidays while my friends had their Christmas break from school too. It was a nice change of pace from my normal boring routine. My sister and her 4 little girls came to visit us so that was fun too as always.

We did Christmas a little differently this time. We all bought our own big presents and then got each other a bunch of smaller stocking type gifts. It was pretty fun. And this way, we all got what we wanted but still had some surprises on Christmas morning.

I also get a new routine starting on Monday with my class (finally... and for sure it is the right date this time...). Just like last time (even though it didn't actually start last time), I feel partly nervous, partly excited, and part just anxious to get this overwith. I hope I can pull an A so I can get help finding an internship. If not, I will just have to do the best I can do with finding one.
I am still having fun with my job at the daycare. It gets stressful some days, but most days are pretty good and I am just falling in love with the kids (most of them.. haha) more and more.
